What Angie Did . . .

So I know I left y'all in sus-pents over What Angie Did.  Some of y'all guessed dat she scratched somebody or beat up Dubble Trubull.  Well, dat are just par for da course round here.  Some of y'all guessed dat she wuz da cause of my momma's old computer dyin - nope, it wuz just OLD - even older dan ME!

What Angie did wuz make da mistake of attemptin to climb Crockett's daddy's Speaker Mountain in front of him.  And she didn't successfully climb it, she slipped and ripped a speaker cover and put a big ol claw hole in a woofer.  Or a tweeter.  I ain't heard no woofin or tweetin, whatefur.  And see, Crockett's daddy are OBSESSED wif his speakers, he are nutso bout em.  Some kinda stereo-holic or somefin.  So he wuz not in a good mood and for some reason, all three of us got da blame.  Probably becuz when he wuz parshully dismantlin Speaker Mountain he discovered even more cat scratches.   And fur.  He's still whining some bout us messin wif his speakers.

Now, ya wanna hear a secret??  My momma (and really ALL da mommas) thought da whole thing wuz funny.  Dey don't get da speaker obsesshun and are tired of being blasted wif some of da weird music Crockett's daddy chooses to play.  Like right now it's opera.  And no offense if ya like opera, but it are not eggsactly my momma's thing.  None of da mommas' things.  Da only kinda classical music she likes fee-chures fairies, dancing hippos, centaurs, and Mickey Mouse (yeah, she are talkin bout Fantasia, MOL!)

So dat are what Angie did dat got all of us in trubbull, well, at least wif da man.

  1. I think Angie should be in trouble with you and Crockett - for pulling that stunt in front of the male human and busting all of you on the speaker cover poking! Best to keep such fun a deep, dark secret. ;-)

  2. Oh oh, that would be a naughty thing to do in my house too. When Sammi and I first came here, we found the Dad's speakers very enticing to our claws. Since the Dad really likes his speakers, the Mom put cat-be-gone-double-sided sticky tape on the speaker fabric so we'd not be interested in it. It took us a while to learn there were better places to scratch, but not before putting a few snags in Dad's speakers. Our Dad has some music hard rock nasty screaming stuff from his college days that mom said she never wanted to hear it in the house. It turned out to be a win-win situation. His speakers didn't get scratched and our ears didn't get tortured. Maybe your mom can make the same deal about no scratching and no opera.

OMC - I can picture the scene so clearly - I have a brother with a similar obsession and a serious compulsive disorder to go with it. Never mind any scratches, if even a single fur landed anywhere on his precious electrics, there would be a hissy fit. I guess you all are living to tell the tale, so that's a bright spot! Oh oh....speaker chaos! [by the way I like opera]
Just make sure y'tell 'im "In 100 years it'll make no difference about the scratches/hair found]. Besides. he'll get over it!!!!

Oh and the biggest mess our two kitties have made is when Winston tries to 'drown himself' in the water...he falls asleep on the rim of the water bowl and then....head gets heavy, and tips the bowl...water, water everywhere. Cats...gotta love 'em.

  13. We gotta go with Crockett on this one cuz if there is a tweeter then it is only natural to attract a cat! If there is a trail make sure we are on the jury.

  15. My stars....that's all! Man has no right to clog up the living room with mountains and then say you can't climb these...they're mine. So diddly squat what, I say? The Living room is meant for living not listening. He can take his cwap into the laundry room....that's more of a restricted area anyway. Who wants to play, *climb that mountain* in the laundry room.

  16. Oh-oh!!
Maybe pawppy here learned about that from the kitties he had before he met the petcretary.
We have little Boise speakers on some shelves...and boy they can be way loud and boomery too. And with the Beethoven and Wagner pawppy likes, sheesh. Angie looks so disdainful...she is thinking, well you left them there you can expect a good claw trial now and then.
Crockett looks kind of worried we think. Was your speaker man too loud??

Travis you look like you are thinking...uh-huh...here we go again...MOL!

  17. Oh no! Your Daddy is like that with his speakers and mine is like that with his TV!!! That's why it is high on the wall where I can't get to it. If I could, Daddy would lose his mind! Oh and Mom says she is with ya about the opera AND Fantasia and all! Love, Cody catchatwithcarenandcody
