Hey pals. Remember how I used to write those totally pawsome poems inspired by photos posted by my pals Teddy and Angel Sammy over at One Spoiled Cat??
Ok, well, I don't blame ya don't remember. It has been a while. After my BFF Crockett died, me and momma (ok, ALL da mommas and da grandpa too) got a case of da depresshuns and we just wuzn't in da mood for poetry. We still miss Crockett, everyday. But he wuz a happy kitty and he woulda wanted us to be happy. So in dat spirit, I are returning to my poetical writings.
Sit down Bowie, and listen to a master at work. Here's today's photo.
Now I gots me a mini me
I got to teach him how to be
Some say he is a copy cat
It's good dat I are chill wif dat
He's got a lot of stuff to learn
Respect and some street cred to earn
I'm not his dad or his mother
But I are his cool big brother!
Yeah, I can relate to da poem, I has my own mini me to teach!
He's a quick learner when it comes to toys!

ReplyDeleteYAY TRAVIS! Great poem....so happy you're writing again but I know you didn't feel much like it after Crockett left for the Bridge. You are quite the writer and know what? I'm SO HAPPY you have a mini-me to teach...he's already fast becoming the TEETH SELFIE guy but I think that tummy shot is pretty darn good too! You're a good teacher for sure.

Travis, that is a wonderful poem. We know you will teach little brofur, Bowie, everything he needs to know. You and all of us will never stop missing Crockett. He was truly special!
