Hey pals! Fanks for reading all about da vet dramas yesterday. Da good news are dat I are still doing good today. Momma are starting to wean me off da steroids, so we are hoping I keep doing good - dey aren't good for your liver and if I have liver issues, I don't need to be on em. Of course (as most of y'all know), not eating are also not good for your liver, so it are a bit of a Catch 22, but we's hopin I'll be ok wifout em. Momma started giving me da liquid hepato today - and YUCK! I are not a fan and pretty much refused to eat my food with it on it. So it looks like that are gonna hafta be squirted down my throat - I'm pretty tolerant of that, so momma shouldn't complain too much.
And for some other good news - we all got a lil bit of bacon today! YUMMM! And chikken bone broth yesterday - it has been a tasty weekend here.
Which are important, because happy kitties make for good selfies - right?
And Bowie and I were sharing da cat tree in the sunroom earlier. It is THE place to be since the outdoor plants had to be brought in becuz of da freeze last week. I luv when they're inside for the winter - it's like my own private jungle! And it looks like Bowie is just as much of a fan as I am!

Meds on food are a no-no for me too...esp since sometimes I also do not want to eat... Hope you can keep getting your medicine by the squirt method.
ReplyDeleteMaybe a compounding pharmacy can make that into an easier to give capsule or pill, or at least a better tasting liquid.
Loved all your selfies, and having your own private jungle would be pawsome indeed!
I hope your hepato helps you feel better and you can get off the steroids. Flynn was a fussy eater and had to have everything squirted, but he was good for pills.
ReplyDeleteGosh Travis.....sounds like a plan with weaning you off steroids, giving you the YUCK and maybe if you need it, a trip to ANOTHER vet who just might be more interested in YOU than in $$. All your fans out here want you to be 100% OK. Meanwhile, you all look great and I'm happy there's bacon to keep those smiles comin' !!!
