Home, But Locked Up!

Well, I'm back. I had to be cut open - momma says I had stones in my bladder. Well, I don't know how they got in there since I didn't eat any stones, but they are gone now. And ya would think I would get to be free now, but now. I are locked up - in some kind of dog crate nightmare! I am not a dog. Momma says my puppy play pen are on the way and hopefully I'll like that better. WHAT? I'm not a puppy! I'm a cat and I want to go sleep in my basket on top of momma's trunk. But she says I can't jump for a whole MONTH and that I just gotta get over it. Get over it? I had my legs shaved, my belly shaved and cut into, I gotta wear dis dumb plastic satellite dish on my head, and I are stuck in a dog crate. It are just RIDICULOUS. And I even wuz nice to the vets, I made em all fall in love wif me. Seriously, they were telling momma what a good cat I wuz and how I wuz just wonderful and a lot better than the other cat at the surgery center. Momma says I'm not quite worth my weight in gold, but apparently I am worth two to three times my weight in silver. Yeah, she thinks she's a comedian. But seriously, you'd think good behavior would earn me freedom, but no.

And there's Bowie sitting in a basket. SO unfair!

And Angelique sitting way up high in her room. I want to be up high! I want to be in a basket! I want FREEDOM! Momma says I can get free for her birthday - WHAT?? I'll never make it to Thanksgiving. I've been on a bit of a hunger strike since coming home. But it are hard to be Gandhi when that food duz smell pretty good . . . maybe I'll work on tunneling out a la The Great Escape or The Shawshank Redempshun.

  1. Awww, Travis, maybe when the pen comes, your basket can go in there. At least it will make for a comfy nest.

Glad you are home and those naughty stones are gone. Did the vet save any to show us later?? or is that TMI??

You know, where petcretary works, the peeps there have been rather locked up too, since mid March...so if they can do it, so can you!! ♥

  3. Sorry to hear you needed surgery, but I'm glad it went well and you're home. Being caged must be frustrating, especially with that cone on your head. But it will be over in just a few weeks (I know that seems like a long time). Hopefully your puppy pen will be there soon and you can have a proper bed and other accommodations.

  4. Travis, I am happy you are home and doing well !
As for your confinement, I guess it is important that you heal and running around may prevent that.
For now, just enjoy all the attention and scritches you can get!!

  5. Dear Travis I'm so happy you're home and they got rid of those stones because they were NOT good for you and made you hurt. Now you must behave (eeeek) and wear that satellite dish until you're all healed up. I know it must be awful being stuck in a small space but sounds like you're getting a little larger pen to be in until your wound has healed and you're ready to boogie. Sending you POTP buddy.

    Hugs, Teddy

  9. I'm so glad your surgery went okay and you're home! Being confined stinks, but maybe once you have the bigger pen, your momma will move your basket to it.

  13. I am glad you are home Travis. It is hard to be caged with a satellite dish on your head, but at least you are back with your family who will give you all the loving, and maybe bacon that you want.
At least you have got rid of those horrible kidney stones. I still have my gallstones and it looks like I will be stuck with them!
