Mewsic Monday

Hey pals. Well, da momma are in a bit of a funk today. A concert she'd been looking forward to for months wuz supposed to happen this week. It's obviously been postponed cuz Miss Rona decided to extend her tour instead.

Dis has been a tuff year on da humans. They're either worried about getting sick, someone they luv getting sick, losing their jobs, losing their businesses, losing money in their savings, missing having a social life, or all of it. And here in da US, there's still an election to get through.

Yeah, it's a good thing we're cats. I think we all are getting our work in as therapy cats this year. Anyways, 2020 has been (and will keep being) a tuff year. But one of the high spots, at least for my momma, has been music. There's no new movies, no concerts, pretty soon no new TV shows, but there has been some good new music. So for the rest of this year, unless there's another theme or holiday, for da Mewsic Moves Me hop, we're going to be sharing some new songs from 2020 we're enjoying. A year this bad has gotta have some redeeming features after all.

Kinley will have more 2020 songs for ya.

  2. My human is such an 80s-90s girl - the only band she cared about in your post was Weezer! She's not even into Lady Gaga! She is old. MOL! She actually misses going to shows too, a lot.

  3. We agree that it is a hard time for people.
Like you, we kitties are doing well :)
One of our radio stations recently interviewed the Chicks :)
While mum likes R&R best, she does like some of your choices.

  5. 2020 is a horrendous year for everyone and there looks like no end to it. Music makes everything seem better though.

  6. LSC,

You put together a fine song set of all new-to-me tunes. I think my favorite of these is Weezer singing "Hero". Being home bound for the most part is hard but we'll get through this mess eventually and hopefully all the better for it. Stay safe, be well, and have a boogietastic week, furriends!

  9. I am glad that at least recorded music, new, old and ancient(The kind petcretary likes...), well no one, not even Miss Evil Corona, can steal that away from us...
It keeps us sane, and gives some pleasure as well.'
Sorry your concert got ditched. Hope you can see it later.

  10. Yes it's been a tough year. I don't have to worry about my job since I am retired, but I miss live music too. Luckily, my favorite is folk music and the singers I like have been doing lots of online concerts. Most of them would be unknown to your Mommas. You kitties and the terrierists are doing a good job as therapy pets. My kitties (I have 6 of them) too. Keep yourselves and the family safe.

  12. In many ways, it has been a challenging year. Thankfully, we have stayed healthy and our jobs are steady (if you don't count a pay cut) but that's minor compared to what so many others are going through. ONe good that might come out of this is people will be creative and find different ways to share entertainment and other stuff.

    1. Yeah, momma has gotten more paintings done this year. Although, she's not shure whether that's a good thing or not, MOL!

  13. My Human is SO OLD (How old is she?) She's SO OLD she doesn't even know who these people *are*! Well, she hears their names, and she remembers Lady Gaga sang at the Oscars, but that's about the extent of it. She's a Beatles-Rolling Stones-Dylan-Doors-Grateful Dead gal. You know, all the wrinkly old folks.

  14. You're right! It's super duper tough on our humans with this virus thing so it means more pressure on us to keep them happy and distracted. We can handle it!!!!

  15. It's hard on the humans but it was intriguing to see how music videos would be made going forward. My favorite video (and song) by a long mile was Weezer. So clever!
