Hey pals! Happy Mewsic Monday! There's no theme this week, so I are picking my own theme - songs from last night's Grammy's!
Flowers by Miley Cyrus (Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance).
Padam Padam by Kylie Minogue (Best Pop Dance Recording).
This is Why by Paramore (Best Alternative Music Performance).
White Horse by Chris Stapleton (Best County Solo Performance and Best County Song).
Dear Insecurity by Brandy Clark and Brandi Carlisle (Best Americana Performance),
I don't keep up with the Grammy's or anything like it anymore. It's good thing people like you keep up with this sort of thing to pass on the highlights. :)
ReplyDeleteThe only song in your set that I knew is "Flowers". I really love Chris Stapleton's voice just enough grit to make it interesting. His country style has a bit of rock vibe that draws me to his music. Thanks for introducing "White Horse" to me. "Dear Insecurity" is a touching song, many of us can relate to with and some more than others. It's a shame how we let insecurities bring us down and we listen to others instead of seeing for ourselves the value of who we are. I say to anyone dealing with insecurities, you are fine. Hold your chin up and love yourself! Thanks for coming to the 4M party, furriend. Have a boogietastic week!
Yeah, momma likes his mix of rock, blues, and country too.
DeleteThese are some good songs and Miley finally eon...big hair and all. She was thinking 80s. Her "outfit" when she asked the red carpet, looked Luke she bought it from the store called " Hookers are Us".
ReplyDeleteLove the last song...very well done. Toby Keith died which is a shame...even though I'm not into country, I liked some of his music and his funny videos
Momma wuz glad Miley won - she luvs her voice.
DeleteI am feeling old again. I don't recognize any of the songs.
ReplyDeleteWell, now you can.
DeleteGreat choices again!
ReplyDeleteFanks!
DeleteMonday is Grammy night.
ReplyDeleteMOL, it wuz on here.
DeleteI started out years ago not at all a fan of Miley Cyrus. Now, her song was my favorite of the set (Paramore's was a close runner up). Dear Insecurity was also a good, thoughtful song.
ReplyDeleteMomma LUVS that song. Miley's grown up a lot from her Hannah Montana days.
