Appreciate the Moments Photo Challenge

This month, da word for da appresheates da moments photo challenge are "summer." I likes summer bestest of all (more sunspots, more hots, more BBQ), but since I are an inside dood, gettin a summery photo - well, I ain't gonna be loungin by da pool. But when momma caught me bunny kickin da dog's flamingo toy last night, she got inspurred.  

All I needed wuz a festive bandana - and BOOM! Summer fun!

I know it are sposed to be poetical Thursday, but today wuz da lastest day to jump in on dis post and we has done da udder months, so da poem are just gonna hafta wait for tomorrow.

I can tell Angelique are real excited bout dat.

Appreciate the Moments Photo Challenge

Well, da theme for dis month's Appreciate the Moments Photo Challenge are "mother." So I chose a photo of me and my momma. Well, my human momma anyway. We always get a lotta compliments on our selfies and now ya can see where we learned how to pose. My momma are a Selfie Queen - she has been takin selfies from back before dat wuz even da word (she even took selfies on FILM when she wuz in middle school). Kim Kardashian has nuffin on my momma Kim K.

    

Ok, so back to da kitteh news. Me and Crockett had to go to da vet today - nuffin scary, just our annual checkups. Crockett had to get his rabies shot, but I just had to get blood taken. We both checked out good (I still weigh MORE), but we'll get da full bloodwork in a few days. We sang da song of our people on da way to and from da vet.

Ok, Crockett's contribushun sounded a bit more like an upset donkey dan a cat. Maybe dat are why he are such a quiet guy usually.   

Angelique escaped da Vampire Vet - for now. I heard she is due later dis summer.

Appreciate the Moments Photo Challenge

Well, it are April and da theme dis month for da Appreciate da Moments Photo Challenge are spring. And in my momma's room, da bunnehs has taken over for spring.  So here I are posin wif a bunny (I think she are called Bonnie Bunnytails) and some of my momma's Easter eggs.

Wow, one of dose Easter eggs shure are good-looking.  He kinda reminds me of an almost-birthday boy.

Yup, dis one are definitely a good egg (and it wuz painted by Crockett's momma).

Of course, I hear she had some pretty good inspurrayshun.

Come on Crockett, ya don't need to razz my egg.  I know my momma made a Crockett egg for your momma (complete wif tongue).

And Angelique wuzn't left out either.  Maybe I'll show ya their eggs later.  But I has some important birthday bacon to be anticipatatin.

Appre-she-ate da Moments Photo Challenge

Well, I are a lil late for da Appre-she-ate da Moments Photo Challenge dis month, but better late dan pregnant never (da udder are not a problem for me since I are DOOD and has been "fixed").  Da theme dis month are lucky.  And I are a lucky cat - lucky dat I has a home where I can sit up on da kitchen counters, lucky dat I get bacon once a week, lucky dat I has cute bandanas to wear, lucky dat I has a momma who feeds me almost furst thing every morning (I don't know why she has to pee and put on her exercise clothes furst, but at least I get fed pretty quick.

A lot of kitties don't have it so lucky.  All three of us wuz adopted from a rescue group.   I was born in a local pound, Crockett's momma wuz already in rescue when he wuz born, and Angelique wuz born feral.  We wuz all lucky to wind up wif da rescue, and even luckier to get a nice loving home.  Too many kitties don't.

So our "lucky" photos are simple - just us enjoying our home.  Becuz we are lucky to have one.  And da peeps is LUCKIER to have us (ya didn't think I wuz gettin all mushy didja??)

Appreciate the Moments

So da theme of da Appresheates the Moments Photo Challenge for February are luv.  So my momma took dis photo of da two of us dis mornin becuz she LUVS me.  And I luvs her back.  Although I would luv her even more if she wuz holdin some bacon.  Just sayin.

I also luvs sittin in my leopard chair on my heart blanket.  I in-hair-ited dis blanket from Charlie (he wuz da orange dood my momma had before me).

Angelique luvs herself.  MOL, just kiddin, she's ackshually really come out of her shell dis last year and luvs gettin pets from everyone.

Appresheate da Moments Photo Challenge

Dis year, we is gonna be purrticipatin in da Appreciate da Moments Photo Challenge - on da furst Friday of each month, ya post a photo dat fits dat month's theme.  For January, da theme are "winter." And when it comes to winter, what I appresheates are da Christmas tree and da Christmas lights - so here I are posin in front of it.  

But today I wuz not dressed all Catmassy, da three of us wuz wearin our new rainbow bandanas dat my momma made us for Catmas - nuffin like some bright colors to brighten up a winter day!

And yeah, real mancats wear pink.  And rainbows.  At least real mancats who live wif my momma.

P.S. Da tree are still up and I are still appresheatin it by lyin under it as much as I can.
