Well, it's Sunday, so it's selfie time.

I know I has been MIA. I blame momma and her "work." Murder trial blah blah, another trial blah blah, all I know is I has been missing getting to post!

But I'm back now!

I think I deserve extra bacon for da inconveenense, don't you?

Well, I got abandoned by my momma last week.

"Required work trip" my butt. 

On the beach? This cat wasn't born yesterday woman.

Grandma and Brinley came to keep me and Kinley company.

We had a pretty good time together, Grandma gives some pawsome headrubs.

Momma did eventually come back.

So I are a happy cat. She better not leave again!

Happy Texas Independence Day. I'm putting on my tough kitty face - fitting for a dude named for an Alamo defender I think. Ok, I wuz actually just mad dat momma did NOT make bacon to celebrate today. Somefin about havin to go to "work" so she could bring home the bacon. But she just came home wif her purse - NO bacon to be had anywhere!

Happy Texas Independence Day! Texas declared independence from Mexico 184 years ago today. 

It's lil Bowie's furst Texas Independence Day, and I had to make shure he celebrated. After all, he are named after one of da heroes of da Alamo. 

But it wuzn't just fun. See, I'm missing my other hero of da Alamo, Crockett. 

Da mommas wuz planning on having Travis, Crockett, and Bowie together. But it didn't get to happen.

Da mommas and me are also missing Maurice today. He woulda been 10 if dat nasty FIP hadn't gotten him. When I wuz a lil kitten, I idolized Maurice and followed him everywhere and wanted to be just like him. We all miss him still. So I'll eat some chikken livers in his honor, I think that's a good idea.

Named after Alamo defenders

Us guys are no Texas pretenders

We might not fight at the Alamo

But we will vanquish dat lizard foe

Today we honor Texas' day

Happy Texas Independence Day y'all!  Being da Lone Star Cats, we's celebratin here.  Way back in 1836 (dat are even before our peeps wuz alive) Texas declared independence from Mexico.  Texas wuz it's own country for almost 10 years, wif presidents, legislatures, da whole thing.  My peeps' family wuz here in Texas when it happened, dey are 7th (or 6th in da case of Crockett's momma) generayshun Texans.   

Me and Crockett were named after defenders of the Alamo, William Barret Travis and Davy Crockett.  

We think this means we should get to celebrate today wif some good Texas BBQ, but judgin by da rainy weather, dat one ain't gonna happen.

Either Crockett are expressin his opinion on da lack of BBQ or he are echoin his namesake who said "You may all go to Hell and I will go to Texas" by givin a razzberry.
