Hi y'all! We has been enjoyin da sunny warm weather we's been havin - we may not get to go outside to enjoy it, but we do luv hangin out in da sunpuddles.
While I wuz hangin out in a sunpuddle, I wrote dis week's poem. It are about da
Kinley by Travis Ford
I has a westie sister
Da white terror is Kinley
Da brattiest of da bunch
Worse than Finley or Brinley
She's obsessed wif us cats
Constant jumpin and yappin
She never seems to stop it
She needs a good paw-whappin
She gets to sleep in da bed
My momma has gone insane
Lettin dat thing in OUR bed
I wonder if she has a brain
She's never tried to hurt us
So I guess she's not too bad
If only she would shut up
Then I would really be glad!
Crockett wants her to shut up too.
We detected a lot of emotion in that poem!

MOL!
Purrs Georgia,Julie and JJ
She earns every whap she gets.
DeleteGood poem! When Maddie cat lived at our house, she would punch us doggies in the nose if we got too close. Joey dog stayed away from her after that. But, of course, I tried to push my luck, and ended up getting punched again.
ReplyDeleteKinley always pushes her luck.
DeleteCrockett does look purrticularly cross. Barking dogs can be so annoying, but we know that deep down you love your woofie sisfur. Right? XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy
ReplyDeleteI are gettin to like her more and more.
DeleteCool poem. We feel your pain, even though we do not have any woofies here!
ReplyDeleteWe has THREE!
DeleteYou are quite the poet.
ReplyDeleteFanks!
DeleteSo tell us how you really feel about Kinley, Travis. ;)

DeleteWhat a fab poem for "K"! I know woofies must be pretty darn irritating sometimes but in the end, she IS your sister and since we cats already KNOW that "CATS RULE AND WOOFIES DROOL" we can be above all that irritation and just ignore them right? Right! Well done poetry - next week "L" as in LONE STAR???
ReplyDeleteLove, Angel Sammy
I try to ignore her, but it's hard when she jumps at me.
Delete'A good paw-whappin' hehe, that did make me laffs…although I'm not sure I would laff if I wuz on the end of that paw!?!?!
ReplyDeleteGreat poem though
Loves and licky kisses

Cept for Angelique, she's pretty quiet. At least compared to me.

ReplyDeleteKisses
Nellie
Glad ya liked it!
DeleteAh, if only we could find a sunpuddle today....
ReplyDeleteHope one shows up for ya!
DeleteThat is such a great poem. You need to give that yappy little dog a good whap on the nose. Well maybe not. Don't want anyone to get hurt. Have a great week end.
ReplyDeleteShe deserves it though.
DeleteI loved your poem best of any! Now that was good!
ReplyDeleteFanks!
DeleteLove that poem! Sun puddles are great for sparking creativity :)
ReplyDeleteDey shure are!
DeleteWhile succinct, clearly Crockett is not the poet sweet Travis is! Not many poems where you could incorporate yapping and paw-wapping! A masterpiece indeed
ReplyDeleteFank you!
DeleteThat is a most lovely poem. It is the opposite in our house my two feline sisters are always taking over my doggie bed!
ReplyDeleteYou mean cat bed. All beds are cat beds.
DeleteMOL what a pawesome poem! Brudder lets Matt in da bed and then I can't get up there cause Matt yells at me.. Sheesh what are they thinkin ;)

DeleteOh, My...we love that poem...and today we had a session we both gave smacky paws and hissy fits to dogguy...and then later we gave him some more just because...MOL!!! W ehave to keep him in line, though Pipo is the one who does that the most.
ReplyDeleteCrockett kept in his tongue to keep it from hearing all the barks?? Or was it to keep the doggy slobber off of it?
Probably to keep it clean. Kinley does like to slobber him. And he lets her for some reason.
DeleteMOL great poem!! The Staff says Kinley is a sweetheart!!! Ahem!!! I beg to differ!!! Hehe!! xx
ReplyDeleteYeah, my momma thinks she are sweet too. Dee-luge-inal.
