Thoroughly Poetical Thursday

Hi y'all!  We has been enjoyin da sunny warm weather we's been havin - we may not get to go outside to enjoy it, but we do luv hangin out in da sunpuddles.

While I wuz hangin out in a sunpuddle, I wrote dis week's poem.  It are about da bane of my eggsistance, I mean my lil woofy sisfur.

Kinley by Travis Ford

I has a westie sister
Da white terror is Kinley
Da brattiest of da bunch
Worse than Finley or Brinley
She's obsessed wif us cats
Constant jumpin and yappin
She never seems to stop it
She needs a good paw-whappin
She gets to sleep in da bed
My momma has gone insane
Lettin dat thing in OUR bed
I wonder if she has a brain
She's never tried to hurt us
So I guess she's not too bad
If only she would shut up
Then I would really be glad!

Crockett wants her to shut up too.

  7. Good poem! When Maddie cat lived at our house, she would punch us doggies in the nose if we got too close. Joey dog stayed away from her after that. But, of course, I tried to push my luck, and ended up getting punched again.

  8. Crockett does look purrticularly cross. Barking dogs can be so annoying, but we know that deep down you love your woofie sisfur. Right? XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy

  14. What a fab poem for "K"! I know woofies must be pretty darn irritating sometimes but in the end, she IS your sister and since we cats already KNOW that "CATS RULE AND WOOFIES DROOL" we can be above all that irritation and just ignore them right? Right! Well done poetry - next week "L" as in LONE STAR???

    Love, Angel Sammy

  19. That is such a great poem. You need to give that yappy little dog a good whap on the nose. Well maybe not. Don't want anyone to get hurt. Have a great week end.

  21. While succinct, clearly Crockett is not the poet sweet Travis is! Not many poems where you could incorporate yapping and paw-wapping! A masterpiece indeed

  25. Oh, My...we love that poem...and today we had a session we both gave smacky paws and hissy fits to dogguy...and then later we gave him some more just because...MOL!!! W ehave to keep him in line, though Pipo is the one who does that the most.

Crockett kept in his tongue to keep it from hearing all the barks?? Or was it to keep the doggy slobber off of it?

    1. Probably to keep it clean. Kinley does like to slobber him. And he lets her for some reason.
