Meow! I has anudder poem for y'all today - dis one are all spring-like. And it wuz inspired by dis photo.
Flowers are so pretty
Seein em is a treat
But momma always says
I can look, but can't eat
But I is stubborn and
I munch on the flowers
And suddenly gackin
Is one of my powers
I'll stick to watchin blooms
If momma starts on makin
Me some tasty fish, shrimp
Chikken, beef, and bacon!
I'm really da only plant-eater here - and it duz make me gack it up. Crockett duzn't bother wif tryin to munch on plants.
Neither duz Angie. But me, I try to eat everything. Don't even get me started on Easter grass . . .
I will chew on anything... which limits any plants my human brings home.
ReplyDeleteI'm da only plant eater here, but I luv em.
DeleteGreat poem, Travis, but I agree with your mom, looking only! Pawkisses for a Happy Hoppy Weekend :) <3
ReplyDeleteIt are so hard though!
DeleteHari OM
ReplyDeleteDeary me, you created quite the mental image there, Travis!!! i hope you get through Easter without too much of that 'gacking'... pawhaps you'll agree that Crockett and Angelique have got this one right? hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx
Yeah, I's been pretty good.
Deletemaybe you coulds munch on fresh catnip grass or sumpin better than flowers that make you gack ... we am glads you gotted chikken tho - maybe mom should say - hey here am a flower but it really chikken. den you no gack dat. -Lil Bear
ReplyDeleteYeah, I has a bad habit of plant chewin.
DeleteWe're with you, Travis. We gak at the thought of nibbling plants, though if given the chance, we'd do it anyway . . . which is why Mom doesn't have any more indoor plants. She's baffled over people buying pots of grass to give to their cats to nibble. Doesn't that make all cats barf?
ReplyDeleteI think it are speshul cat grass dat duzn't do dat. We has indoor plants - I just get yelled at for messin wif em (and obviously nuffin dangerous).
DeleteGreat poem Travis, but it is better to look and not eat the flowers.
ReplyDeleteProbably.
DeleteThat was a great poem. Please don't eat any lilies, they are poison.
ReplyDeleteYeah, momma knows to avoid those.
DeleteWhat pretty flower beds those are. Mom won't even bring in any inside plants or flowers. So we don't know if we'd nom them or not.
ReplyDeleteWe have indoor plants which I try to chew - but I get yelled at for it.
DeleteWe haven't had flowers in our house since our second kitten, Smokey. She didn't want the flowers, but would tip the vase to get to the water.
ReplyDeleteJezebel used to do dat.
DeleteTravis that's a totally poetical poem for the photo challenge this week....I'm not much for eating flowers but that nice spring grass coming up is too delish to resist! Angel Sammy used to eat plants and like you, he'd gack it all right back up again......HAHAHA HOPPITY SATURDAY!
ReplyDeleteLove, Teddy
Yeah, I just can't resist em.
DeleteWasn't there an old TV show called, "Please Don't Eat the Daisies?" I guess that's still good advice.
ReplyDeleteMOL, I think so!
DeleteAnother wonderful poem!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter hugs madi and mom
Fanks!
DeleteDude, mew and Fudge are cosmic twins dude, fur sure! He's the resident 'foodie' here and needs to sample effurything! MOL
ReplyDeleteHAPPY EASTER!!!!
Big hugs
Basil & CO xox
I wanna try everything!
DeleteTravis, stay away from that Easter grass. It is really bad for you. Lisbeth is the main plant/flower eater in our house. Mom used to have fresh flowers in the house and she finally gave up on that. She gave up on live plants a long time ago. Your poem was excellent. ReplyDeleteYeah, Easter grass is now banned in our house. :(
