As ya probably know, da three of us are strictly inside-only cats. Yeah, sometimes we have dreams about going out - killing burds, bringing down a mouse, smelling da great outdoors. I mean, we're stuck hinting the stray lizard or bug that gets in the house.
But today momma came home from walking the dogs and reminded us we actually has it pretty good. This lil black and white kitty wuz outside a street over. He had blue paint/dye on him, so grandma rang the doorbell to find out if it wuz that houses's kitty. It wuzn't, but it wuz the next door neighbor's cat - they let it out all the time and apparently their children decided it needed a dye job. Ugh. There's lots of coyotes and bobcats in our neighborhood, not to menshun bad drivers and bored teenagers. This kitty wuz super friendly too - da mommas felt bad for it.
So maybe it's not too bad being inside. Even if we're stuck hunting lizards and mayflies. At least we're not blue.
That poor kitty! You are lucky to be indoors and safe.
ReplyDeleteEven Eric and Flynn who were allowed out could only go around the fields when I was with them. The rest of the time they could go in our securely fenced garden if they wanted to.
That's totally different than this - these neighbors just throw their cat out. :(
DeleteOh how sad.....that little kitty being dyed blue makes me think how lucky I am not to be running free. When I go outside it's with my Mom and Dad and they keep an "eagle eye" on me. Nobody's gonna paint ME blue that's for sure!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Teddy
Yeah, we're pretty shure it wuz the dumb kid who owns it.
DeleteWe are sad for that blue painted kitty :(
ReplyDeleteWe are indoor cats too.Julie has gone out on the deck a sew times when mum puts out bird seed, but mum always brings her in.
Purrs,Georgia and Julie
Here, ya gotta be inside-only to be safe. We have coyotes, bobcats, speeding cars . . .
DeletePeople. Suck. That's the nicest thing I can say right now..
ReplyDeleteYeah, they really do.
DeleteThat poor kitty, that's awful. I can't say want I want about those evil kids.
ReplyDeleteMomma would like to slap em.
DeletePoor kitty! We hope he found his way home.
ReplyDeleteWe just wish his honors weren't such jerks.
DeletePoor kitty - he needs to be inside. We have bobcats and coyotes here too, and I would never be allowed outside without my harness and leash.
ReplyDeleteYeah, we'd never be let loose here. It's way too dangerous.
DeleteSounds like those kids need more chores to keep them busy. Hopefully it's a non-toxic dye and won't harm kitty. I agree, we are all much safer inside, getting fresh air from an open window.
ReplyDeleteYeah, we're hoping so too.
Deleteguyz....livin large N in charge & inn side iz a good thing....we due get ta go inta de garage which iz kinda like goin out side....sorta.....we hope de kitty with de dye on hiz furz will bee aye oh kay; specially sinze him will bee groomin thoz furz ~~~~~~ ♥♥♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteYeah, we're hopin whatever made it blue are non-toxic.
DeleteThat poor kitty. Yes, being inside is much safer.
ReplyDeleteMomma had some cats that were inside-outside when she wuz little. Two died too young - one got run over, one got bit by something (a bee or a snake, we don't know). Jezebel became inside only and lived to almost 21.
DeleteThat poor kitty. I would steal it.
ReplyDeleteOh, momma are tempted. Apparently other neighbors have taken their cats before.
DeleteOh - we agree with pilch92 ! That is a shame. Purrayers for that kitty - and for the Mommas for caring.
ReplyDeleteYeah, other neighbors have before. They've whined about it on Next Door.
DeleteOh, dear, that poor kitty. If the kids are doing that now, what will they be doing when they are older??? Don't even want to go there, but some kids need to get some real education very quickly.
ReplyDeleteYeah, momma just duz not get it. She has had kitties her whole life and always loved them and treated them kindly. She'd never do something like that.
