Brinley's Birthday

Brinley came to visit me and Kinley and yesterday wuz her birthday.

Like Kinley, she's 8 now.

I think she had a pretty good birthday. I mean after all, she got to spend da day wif ME.

Today it are my dog sister Kinley's birthday. Yeah, she's a dog, but she are ok. Well, most of da time. MOL!

Hmmm, I wonder if she are gonna get some kinda speshul dinner I can share in . . . 

Not So Wordless Wednesday

So long time no meow.

Ok, lotsa meow, but not on here.

And maybe y'all are wondering why.

Well, Grandma and Brinley came to visit, and my momma wuz too busy wif visiting and decorating for Christmas to help me.

The dogs and I obviously helped a lot.

She's not done - she still needs to do the tree, but she is waiting for her momma to send her some speshual cords for her old Hallmark ornaments.

I'd prefur Grandma send BACON, but nobody asked me.

Today it are Brinley's birthday - she's 7 now! I'm not there to share in her birthday treats though.

Brinley is a real sweetie to us kitties. So I hope she had a pawsome day and I am gonna need some of those treats when I get back to Plano, heh heh.

Today are Kinley's birthday. And I know sometimes I like to complain about her since she are a bouncy lil D-O-G, but I acksually do like her. And I'm glad today wuz her birthday - cuz that meant birthday bacon!

So sometimes those dogs can pay off, heh heh.

Visitors!

 

So it has been a week of adventure. One day I are in da car going back to Lubbock.

And a couple days later, I has visitors. My "grandma" and Brinley!

It's nice having em here - and grandmas really know how to spoil their grandkitties!

So, extra cat treats for me!!

Happy birthday Brinley! Today she are 6. She are back in Plano though wif Bowie and Angelique, so I are not getting to share in her birthday bacon. Unfortunately.

I still wore my cake bandana. Maybe it'll motivate da momma to hand over some speshul treats tonite. It can't hurt anyways, MOL.

Well, today it are my doggie sister's birthday. Kinley are 6 today. So happy birthday Kinley, for a DOG, you aren't really that bad. I mean, you're fun to tease and play wif and sometimes rub on.

And since I got to share in your birthday bacon, I don't mind da day being about you. Now, where's this birthday dinner???

Well, I has been having some excitement in el apartamento.

We has visitors!

Grandma came to see ME!

Ok, maybe she likes seeing my momma too, but I know it wuz really me, her favorite grandchild, that got her out to Lubbock.

Bowie and Angelique stayed back in Plano wif Angelique's momma and grandpa, but Brinley came to visit!

And she greeted me really sweet, wif a nice lil nose kiss. Well, then Kinley had to go ruin it by thinking I wanted to play chase. Ugh, dat girl are nuts!

Well, when she's not asleep that is.

Anyways, I has been having a good time wif my grandma. Tellin her all about how momma STARVES me and to please send bacon and cat treats. It's good to have another feeder around.

Finley Rose 5/22/2006 - 7/15/2021

 

Our big sister, the self-appointed sheriff of the homestead, the HBIC, the friend to everycat, is gone.

We don't know for sure where she is, but we hope it is somewhere with an endless supply of bacon and steaks, a place where sweet dogs know no pain or itchies. And that Finley can meet up with her friends, Whitley, Jezebel, Charlie, Maurice, and Crockett.

I guess that means I am in charge now since I am the oldest animal in the house.

It's so sad here. 

We'll all miss Finley.

Finley Update

  

Hi pals. Well, our pup big sister Finley is not doing too good. We think she's going blind. She is having a harder and harder time walking and standing. And a lot of times, she yelps and screams.

  

Da mommas are not shure if it is pain or dementia. Probably a combination.  

She still likes to eat her food, but that's about it. Sometimes she wants a pat, but sometimes she doesn't because she hurts.

We all luv her and we hate seeing her hurt. She's always been a real good friend to us cats.  

Da mommas have said Finley are probably going to be making her trip to join Whitley, Jezebel, Charlie, Maurice, and Crockett in da Land of Infinite Steaks and Bacons soon.  

We know our blog are usually happy and silly, but dis are not either one of those. But we didn't want anyone to be caught off guard or surprised when Finley goes. She's over 15 and she never really recovered from her hip dislocation last spring. Da mommas luv her tons and have been trying to keep her comfortable, but lately she's even been having a hard time standing when they carry her outside to do her business. It sucks, we wish she could have had a better end. But she will get a big send-off with steak and lots of luv.

Today it are our pup sister Finley's birthday. She are 15, so momma says she are having a quinceañera today. MOL MOL! Happy birthday Finley! 

Finley are pretty cool pup - she LUVS us kitties, so ya know she's gotta be cool.

She got a speshul birthday breakfast and we all got a lil bit of bacon!

And tonite, we're all gonna get bites of steak for her birthday dinner.
