Nashinul Feral Cat Day!

It's Nashinul Feral Cat Day! Since Angelique started off life in a feral colony, I'm letting her be da lead photo today. Yeah, she's no feral anymore - she definitely looks pretty comfy on dat bed.

Some dumb people don't like feral cats. But our feral pals do a lotta good - rodent control is just one benefit of feral kitties. We're all for TNR (trap, neuter, release) here - it's a pawsome way to keep a feral populayshun from getting outta control but duzn't involve hurting or killing any kitties.

So we're wishing our feral pals a pawsome day from the comfort of da couch. Or da recliner in Bowie's case, MOL!

  2. I'm glad none of us is feral. It's a hard life for a kitty.

  3. My Florida associate Miss Charlee says there are a lot of feral cats in her neighborhood. Sometimes they get under the house and make a mess. I'll have to ask Miss Charlee if anyone is doing anything about them, like TNR. She says there are feral chickens running around too, but the cats are afraid of them. I guess those chickens can be pretty fierce!

  4. Years and years ago, before we knew much about cats and ferals, there were a lot of them around here, but thanks to the help of kind peeps who did the TNR for them now we hardly ever see ferals.

TNR is the best way to help feral cats.

  8. Feral cats deserve a good life too and I am grateful for the people who help them.
We never see them here though, probably as we are more remote and they need to stay closer to food sources.
I did feed one several years back but I had to keep Eric and Flynn from seeing him or they would have chased him off. I was never able to trap him and one day he disappeared and never came back.

  10. Brody was living with feral cats too but he turned into a proper house cat. I love all cats no matter where they live. I wish they all had forever homes though. XO

  12. Angelique, we are happy seeing you being very comfortable. We have our little feral group in our neighborhood. They are just the best when we come home and they know when it's dinner time. Thanks for sharing the wonderful post. Have a great day.
